Bouchra
Bouchra
Bouchra is a filmmaker in New York struggling with writer's block while developing her debut feature. She attempts to document her journey from Casablanca to New York and the complexities of being a queer daughter to a cardiologist mother back home. Through a series of overdue, difficult phone calls, she hopes to bridge the nine-year silence that followed her coming out. Navigating the vibrant New York queer scene and the support of her chosen family, Bouchra turns her emotional reckoning into a imaginative animated film where she and her mother are portrayed as coyotes.
