Twelve-year-old Alex shares a deep bond with his grandmother, finding the warmth he misses from his busy parents. When he discovers two classmates robbing her, he is drawn into a terrifying web of blackmail and fear. Coerced by the bullies, Alex is forced to become a pickpocket, stealing handbags from elderly women to prevent further harm to his grandmother. As he drifts into isolation and the pressure from his tormentors mounts, Alex must find the courage to confront the situation and break free from their grip.
